CTG-Design is proud to introduce a new segment to our blogs, client spotlight. Where we feature our clients and discuss who they are, the services we are providing for them, and how much we appreciate them. We are starting off with a talented textured hairstylist from New Jersey, Jekia Latham.
Jekia was introduced to hairstyling by watching her mother's style hair as she was growing up. As she watched and learned she eventually grew interested in styling herself. At first, it was with dolls and then moved to her friends and neighborhood kids whose hair she would style. She held onto this passion as she grew up and began her career in social work. After a family tragedy in 2017, she decided to leave her career to pursue her passion. She attended cosmetology school and earned her license in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2018. She then began working in a professional salon.
After years of working and honing her craft, she made the decision to branch out on her own and open Textured Touch, Inc in 2021. She uses her people skills and the immense level of care for individuals that her years in social work taught her when working with her clients today. She most enjoys focusing on groups that may fall to the background at times. She makes everyone feel safe, welcome, and at home in her salon. Jekia makes her clients feel beautiful on the outside as well as the inside by spreading support and happiness through her comforting salon environment.
Our team connected with Jekia through one of her clients. He happens to be the CEO of CTG, Inc, CTG-Design’s parent company. When he heard of her needing help creating a logo and a website for her business he recommended she connect with CTG-Design. We have loved working with her ever since and are proud to support her business.
CTG-Design is proud to have partnered with Jekia on creating an eCommerce website for Textured Touch, Inc. Our designers have taken her vision and background in styling as well as her personal taste to cultivate a site that is truly unique to Textured Touch, Inc and what they stand for. We featured a personal touch by mentioning her family on the site and clients have the option to book various services with Jekia from there.
